From Purpose to Action: Your Guide to an Extraordinary Year in 2024
There is nothing better than a change of year to set new goals. Since we are already in 2024, we will share with you the pro-aging resolutions that we will adopt this year.
Resolutions can help us be clear about what we want from life. Up to 20% of people who make a resolution follow through with it... You could be one of them.
1- Focus well
When we start listing our new resolutions, we focus on the big picture, the ultimate goal, but we forget about the little things we have to do day by day to reach that goal.
We suggest that you focus your new objective well , that it is measurable, achievable and that you can break down its entirety step by step.
Every day in 2024 you should set aside a moment for that new goal.
2- Take stock
The story of our life repeats itself until we decide to change it. That is, if you don't look back, you will have an imprecise vision of your current state and your future.
Taking an annual balance gives us clarity and allows us to see those changes that we must make to meet our new objectives.
Don't beat yourself up, his word indicates it: Balance , surely in 2023 there are moments that are better not to remember. But make an effort: remember and write down everything good that happened to you that year. This serves to focus on the positive and build a future from this point.
3- List your passions and explore them!
If your year has felt stagnant or “flat,” turn inward. What do you like to do? What is it that your time flies by because you enjoy it so much?
Make a list of everything you are passionate about : the things that make you happy, fascinate you, and make you curious about life. Once you write them down, add more details about each one.
Do you love to travel? Excellent! Write what you like about it. Even if you can't travel right now, you will discover the qualities and feelings that excite you about the idea of traveling. Maybe you like that feeling of adventure, newness, or exposure to other cultures.
Once you write them down, you'll discover that there are many ways to start cultivating the aspects you love in 2024.
4- Continue cultivating curiosity
As we get older, we accumulate more responsibilities, which make it seem frivolous to spend our time following our curiosity without a concrete plan. But our curiosity is often the key to our greatest passions . If you don't follow it, you may miss a path that is waiting to open up for you.
What are you most interested in? What drives you to learn? What unknowns fascinate you? What would happen if you took time to follow that curiosity?
Cultivating interest keeps us young.
5- Move forward as a group
We need a group to belong to from the moment we are born and even more so in adulthood, since it can become difficult to make lifestyle changes alone.
Fitness and healthy eating challenges are easy to find, but you can break all the rules and create your own group focused on any lifestyle goal or a group with common interests such as a reading group, journaling, meditation or an organization group.
This year don't move alone, travel accompanied.
Being surrounded by other people allows you to learn about other realities, other lifestyles, they motivate you and celebrate victories.
6- Celebrate more
Celebrate has to be the phrase that marks our 2024. We accomplish things worth applauding every day, but we tend to reserve celebrations for a subset of “big” life events, like graduations, milestone birthdays, and weddings.
Celebrating more is another way to remember everything you've done. Celebrations also add more joy and fun to every day.
Life is short and you deserve all the celebrations you can have.
